Terms & Conditions
Terms for using RookPDF
Clear operating terms for a browser-first PDF SaaS product from Rook Dev Studio.
Effective date
These terms apply from 8 August 2026. By using RookPDF you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Use of service
RookPDF provides browser-based PDF utilities for lawful personal and professional workflows. The service is provided as-is and may be used without an account for its core local tools.
Local files
RookPDF does not upload, store or retain copies of the documents you process. All processing runs inside your browser, so you are responsible for the files you select, process and download, and for keeping your own backups.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no illegal content, no attempts to bypass document protection you are not authorized to remove, no interference with the service, and no automated scraping that disrupts it. The tools are intended for your own files and documents you have the right to use.
Intellectual property
RookPDF, the RookPDF brand and the Rook Dev Studio branding are the property of Rook Dev Studio. The service does not claim ownership of the documents you process, which remain yours.
Accounts
Google authentication is optional for core local tools and may be used for account preferences such as profile and download history. Account-related data is described in the Privacy Policy and is separate from document content.
Availability
Rook Dev Studio may improve, update or retire product features while preserving the no-upload document architecture for local tools. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that converted, compressed, OCR'd or otherwise processed documents will be error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rook Dev Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service — including lost files or data. You remain solely responsible for verifying the output of the tools before relying on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction in which Rook Dev Studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
